Hi there!
My name is Terence, and I'm really looking forward to speaking with you!
To make things smooth as possible, here’s a guide so that you know what to expect for our upcoming call. There are a bunch of FAQs at the bottom but if you still have any question, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Once you’re all clear, please pick a time slot for our recording which works for you, using the link below.
Thanks, and speak soon!

We’ll have some broad themes, but don’t worry about specific questions because we don’t have any! We’ll keep our conversation very casual because we’ve found that the best Folklories are created through authentic chats about memories that you already have.
So there’ll be no need to prep! Just relax! We’ll guide you through the conversation and make sure you have a great time!
We'll record the podcast Riverside.fm, our online studio. We keep our recordings to audio only, so we won’t need you to turn on your camera (so don't think too much about you look).
Please use a laptop or desktop computer. Additionally, please use wired earphones or headphones, with a built-in mic (just like the ones you get with your phone)
A few other important things:
Before we start recording, we’ll spend the first few minutes to walk you through the things we'll talk about. If there's anything you’d like us to focus on, this will the best time to do that!
We will never share any part of the recording without permission from your friend or relative who set this up! So you have our assurance that we’ll make it as comfortable and safe as possible, because the best conversations happen when they are unfiltered, so talk absolutely freely.
And if you ever need to take a breather or a short break during the recording that’s fine too.
Best way to think about it is as a conversation with a friend over coffee or tea.
Once we complete the recording, we’ll set aside a few minutes to answer any questions you have.
If all’s good, we’ll move into the editing phase. We’ll share a draft with your friend or relative who ordered the Folklory and incorporate any feedback into the final file to be delivered.
Who will I be speaking to?
You’ll be speaking to Terence, one of our Folklorists (and also our co-founder).
All our Folklorists have tons of podcasting and interviewing experience, and will do all they can to make you feel comfortable.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Nope! All we ask is that you find a quiet and comfortable spot, one that would be great for a chat with a friend. Because this will be more of a conversation than an interview
What happens if I say something wrong
Part of our process involves getting feedback on a draft version of the podcast, which we will send to the person who ordered the Folklory. So there’ll be an opportunity to remove anything you feel uncomfortable with. Don’t worry!
How will we record the podcast?
We will use Riverside.fm, our online studio, to record the conversation. You can use either your computer or smartphone for the recording, but please do wear wired earphones or headphones with a built-in mic (like the ones that come free with a smartphone).
